4.3 Road to certification First Workshop in Serbia, Belgrade: 22 January 2019 At KOPERNIKUS HOTEL PRAG, Kraljice Natalije 27 – 11000

The activity 4.3 included into the work package dedicated to certification process of the hosting organizations foresees two different workshops, one in Serbia and the other in Montenegro, focusing on results of Needs Assessment (4.1 activity) and on the priorities defined during the National Roadmap mission (4.2 activity).
The first workshop has been taken in Serbia, Belgrade, on 22 January with the objective to give the Balkan organizations that had manifested a clear interest in submitting an application to be certified as hosting organizations the opportunity to gain a more in depth understanding of certification procedures and requirements.
The first workshop has been arranged in different working groups, including plenary sessions and brainstorming activities. Project experts shared good practices and specific policies referring to EUAV certification requirements. The workshop was mostly focused on tailored support for each organization in order to support with the approximation process to EU policy standards. During the one-day meeting the HOs forms and policies of third country partners have been reviewed in order to verify their level of compliance with European regulations and with the aim to guarantee a clear grasp of the relevant provisions of the directives and a concrete growth, development, and capacities building for partners.
The implementing partners of the activity have been ANPAS and CISOM, while beneficiaries of the workshop have been two no-profit organizations, Red Cross Montenegro and DRR Center from Serbia, and one civil protection department from Montenegro.
Core activity have made increasingly conscious Balkan partners that joining the EUAV Initiative means an important opportunity for their own development as well as a way to offer a wider range of experiences to future European volunteers to be deployment in their countries.
